The Blank Park Zoo has family night on certain Fridays extending their hours and offering special entertainment and activities for families. They also have a Halloween activity in October called “Night Eyes” which is a lot of fun.
Swim Passes
This area has a lot of great swim parks. The department of Human Services offers these passes at a reduced cost (if needed). These passes usually become available in May and cost about $10 for the whole family and is good all summer. To get information about these passes call 222-3660.
Preschool
The Waukee Family YMCA has a great preshool available from 2-5 years old. Also (if needed) Dallas County offers Empowerment tuition scholarships for preschool. For 4-year olds only.
